The Birthday

Well what a great day yesterday, it started off by me going to see my made Jade who turned 21, giving her her presents and seeing what everyone else had brought her. I then had a pretty chilled afternoon in preparation for the nights celebrations.

After debating whether leggings are wrong (I decided not) I met Jade and everyone in the Mucky Duck about 8.00, had a quick catch-up drink and then went to Charters, which is a new pub ~ it used to be Roumers. Had some champagne in there and boogied with some old and new songs…. We won a pocket radio for answering a song-question right (this is relevant), and saw some old mates which was great. Jade was getting more drunk by the minute and me craving a fag more and more. From there we moved on to the Swan, it was pretty warm so we stood outside. Jade was pretending to be a TV reporter with one of the free-radio earphones in her ear, she was going up to random’s and interviewing them with topical questions such as “so your in Mansfield – what do you think?” lol frigging hilarious! Well.. You know me, not to be outdone I had the other ear-piece (don’t ask why they were separate, we don’t know) and then me and Jade started pretending we were police or bouncers of some kind…”6 o’clock… yeah u see him? GO GO GO” lol you get the gist im sure!! Awesome. And yes, I am one of them annoying drunk people in pubs, I hold my hands up!

From the Swan (after a lot of dawdling in the centre of town) we went to Cheeky Monkeys, que cheesy vengaboys moves and lots of cider! We went into the Bowl in hand for a swift one (where I actually had a couple of drags on a fag).

Then on to Mathas, where quite frankly I had the best time…. We were on the dance floor, getting the DJ to shout out to Jade every 5 mins, requesting all our fav songs. He gave us a free bottle of champagne (well.. I say champagne) and then the DJ left the box… what happened next was a blur…. The next time I look up Jades behind the box with his headphones on with her arms in the air like she’s in Ibiza!!!! The DJ comes out.. Clearly not bothered puts his arm round her and they are both at it, with their arms in the air! Ha ha ha the group did get a few strange looks…

The evening was finished off an bar 19, which was pretty chilled as we only stayed downstairs, had some chips, beans and cheese and then went home.

Quality night, and im gutted my camera’s flash wasn’t working… cause the pics would have been hilarious! I did manage to get one of Jade’s DJ’ing antics on my phone though.

Today, im going to have a lazy day, go up to Carls this afternoon, and then im seeing my mate Emma tonight, which will be ace as I haven’t seen her or her daughter for AGES!

Oh and if anyone asks the couple drags on the fag didn’t count. And I think that actually the first night of going out as a non-smoker and only having a couple drags compared to the 20 I used to smoke when out, is pretty damn good… don’t you agree??? So im going to count that as 8-smoke free days so far.
